After a very nice night at Kasbah Amazir, we hopped back on our bus very excited as we knew the same evening we would be sleeping under the star in the Sahara. But first we had to drive a lot with few stops to admire the oasis sceneries.
We then left the beautiful green scenery to reach some harsh rocky plains. We had a stop at the irrigation systems where our guide explained us how tunnels were build from the mountains to the city to bring water and wells were set up. This scenery was unreal with hundreds of those small mount which are wells. It was so hot out there that going down to realize the work it was to build those tunnels was much appreciated!
We also enjoyed tea under the little protection of the Berber tent (apparently the tour does not stop during summer time)
Our next stop was for lunch at Kasbah Ennasra. I loved the place!!! (although I cannot tell you about the room, as we stayed just a few hours). There was such a peaceful feeling in it that I said I would gladly do a yoga retreat there, even though I do not practice yoga 🙂
The meal was 4 courses, with salad, Berber pizza, chicken and a beautiful ‘crème renversée’ that reminded me of when I was a little girl…
During our free time there I enjoyed the refreshment of the pool. A great time before hitting the sand!
Next stop: here it comes. yeahhh! the Sahara and my first time on a camel!
