Leopard encounter
In the afternoon, they took us to see some of the cheetahs leaving in the reserve and we also spotted giraffes, warthog and jackals but the most memorable moment was the Leopard encounter Most of their leopards are wild and the lodge offer tracking sessions to the guest. However, at the time, they also had one leopard which was not able to feed itself. So it was half wild. They had set up a viewing area where we were hidden behind a wood wall with just split for us to see. They fed him with several pieces of meat and we had an amazing time watching him move around. I could not take my eyes of him: so powerful and graceful at the same time!
Let's start with a short video:
Well I did take my eyes of him to capture the moment. Below are some of my best shots I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do!
The bush campsite at Africat Okonjima
After all those intense emotions, we set up our tents at their great bush camp. Sunset was colorful!
The bush campsite was very well set up and made to feel connected with nature. Each camp area has toilets and showers with very nice views. There is a system on the path so you can shower with the curtain open, you will not face another human being but maybe a wild animal…
