A nice garden full of shade, old stories and tasting of many types of cacao and chocolate. Is that Heaven? Well, it might be for some people, however I do not really like chocoloate so...Not for me. But I still enjoyed the tour!

INFO & PLANNING TIPS - GUADELOUPE CACAO HOUSE
The 'Maison du cacao' (cacao house) is a fairly small attracation in the Guadeloupe islands but worthwile if you like chocolate and would like to learn more about its history and how it is produced.
After paying the entrance fee, you can stroll through a small garden with displays of a lot of information (also in English) and interesting photos. Then you will find old tools. At the end, you join the owners who are passionate people. They explain the successive steps of production and the products coming out of the cacao as well as their benefits. You even get to taste some of those from the cacao bean, the butter, the paste, the hot chocolate, the chocolate liquor and more.

- Plan at a very minimum one hour. There is a lot to read and the explanations /tasting are very detailed. The people are passionnate about the subject

Below you get an idea of how detail the show is. You really discover all the steps and products created from the cacao bean. You get to see and touch them and sometimes taste them.
