After our time at the ghost town of Kolmanskop, we had again a lot of road to swallow. Namibia is really huge and roads are straight for a very very very long time.
Thankfully, the scenery was again ever changing, this time with table top mountains
And we were greeted by graceful antelopes
The plan was to go to the amazing fish river canyon but we decided to rather go early morning the next day as we were all early birds (so rare in group tours that we had to take advantage of it!)
So we relaxed at the very comfortable campsite of Canyon Roadhouse. The facilities were beautiful.
Some enjoyed the swimming pool, some simply rested and some of us climbed a hill nearby to enjoy sunset.
No many features for a great sunset but deep warm colors which reflected on the mountains across.
And there, surprise. We were all sitting facing the sunset, getting a feel of all the nuances of yellow and orange when I turned around to see if the mountains had still interesting lights when I noticed the moon rising! We were rewarded by a moon rise right after the sunset.
A great moment that we enjoyed in peace, with a cold beer 🙂
After diner, the same group that climb the hill decided to sleep under the stars to continue the communion with nature.
Next stop, the amazing Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world!
