Intro<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Waarom Calton Hill bezoeken<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Calton Hill Edinburgh, Schotland, is een van de heuvels in het centrum van de stad. Het is opgenomen in het <a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/whc.unesco.org\/en\/list\/728\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unesco Werelderfgoed van Edinburgh<\/a>. Een van de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zigzagonearth.com\/visit-edinburgh-things-to-do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dingen om te doen in Edinburgh<\/a> die u niet mag missen.<\/p>\n\n<p>Het biedt een geweldig uitzicht over de hele stad tot aan de zee. Plan 15 tot 20 minuten om de top van de heuvel te bereiken vanuit het stadscentrum  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anders 5 min bergopwaarts vanaf de Regent Street ingang<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bezoek Tips<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Calton Hill is een park dat de hele dag geopend is.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Er staan verschillende monumenten op Calton Hill. Ga naar het gedeelte hieronder voor meer informatie en openingstijden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>De paden zijn goed onderhouden, geen trappen meer als u eenmaal boven bent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Waar parkeren? Ik raad altijd aan om Edinburgh zonder auto te verkennen. Het is een zeer goed begaanbare stad en er rijdt een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.getyourguide.nl\/s?q=Hop+on+hop+off+bus+edinburgh&amp;partner_id=R3GYW4V&amp;cmp=ZZ_Scotland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">hop-on hop-off bus<\/a>. Dit is een gedenkteken voor de Schotse filosoof Dugald Stewart, gemodelleerd naar de Griekse architectuur.<\/p>\n\n<p>Het vormt een geweldige voorgrond met de oude stad erachter en het Edinburgh Castle aan de achterkant. Het enige probleem is dat mensen voor u blijven staan om foto&#8217;s te maken. Er staan veel monumenten.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We hebben het al gehad over het Dugal Stewart Monument.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U hebt ook het National Monument dat lijkt op het Parthenon in Athene. Het is een gedenkteken voor de Schotse soldaten die stierven tijdens de Napoleontische oorlogen. Bouw voltooid in 1829<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Het Nelson Monument is de hoge toren ter nagedachtenis aan vice-admiraal Horatio Nelson. Het is gebouwd op het hoogste punt van Calton Hill (171m &#8211; 561ft) en is 32m hoog. Overdag geopend, u kunt de 143 treden beklimmen voor een nog hoger uitzicht over Edinburgh<a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.edinburghmuseums.org.uk\/Venues\/Nelson-Monument\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">(Openingstijden hier<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U vindt hier ook Observatory House en het Calton Hill Observatory.
